A scientific breakthrough born from nature
In the 1980s, medical biologist Annelize Goedbloed began exploring the properties of natural polysaccharides found in Aloe Barbadensis Miller. Her goal: to find a plant-based substance that could support the body’s own microbiome without harming beneficial bacteria.
Together with her son Floris, she launched an ambitious five-year research program in collaboration with the Free University of Amsterdam. The result was the discovery of the 2FX-complex—a bio-active substance capable of selectively neutralising harmful microbes while preserving the body’s natural flora.
This groundbreaking complex marked a shift in thinking: from killing bacteria to restoring balance, naturally and effectively.
